Geography and History Notes

Ben was born in Vietnam and raised in the United States. He has lived in Arizona, Connecticut, and New York City. Ben attended a Quaker High School in NYC, college in Upstate NY, and received his MFA for Painting in the SF Bay Area.

He returned to Vietnam for the first time in 2000 (for Tet) and then again in 2003 and late 2004.

20mm is Ben's web-based photo journal, focusing on urban landscapes and his travels to places near and far. He has kept a text blog since 2002 - online since 1995 and the good old days of Mac System 7.5.

20mm.org will showcase the work of friends and photographers both local and international.

Ben's photos have been featured on the web at KQED.org, 28mm.org - Issues 9 and 13, Mooncruise Magazine Issue 21, and AsianWeek in print. He also exhibits his paintings from time to time.

Ben is currently based in the New York City area.
